Mr. Roberts is a Director in the Washington D.C. office of Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, where he is responsible for financial sponsors coverage in the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Roberts has worked with the private equity community for over 10 years and has significant experience with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate strategy, capital formation and legislative/regulatory matters.
Before coming to Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Roberts was a Principal of The Hunter Group; a Washington D.C. based consulting firm specializing in outsourced corporate development. Prior to his work with Hunter, Mr. Roberts was Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Inforum Communications, a publicly traded Denver based telecommunications holding company. Mr. Roberts was instrumental in the legal and M&A components of the business and was responsible for all aspects of Inform's strategic planning. Mr. Roberts co-managed Inforum's fundraising efforts and the Company's acquisition activities (11 acquisitions and 42,000 customers).
Mr. Roberts worked in the Counsel's Office, House Energy and Commerce Committee, where he advised Members of Congress and senior staff on telecommunications issues. He is a graduate of Cornell University, the National Law Center at George Washington University and is a member of the bar in both Maryland and the District of Columbia.
